Wan NSFW: 2.2, 2.5, 2.7 and 3.0 Compared for Adult Work
Whether Wan allows NSFW depends on where it runs, not on the version number. As of November 2026, only Wan 2.1 and 2.2 have open weights, and those are the versions people run on their own computers, with community add-ons, for adult work. Every version since, from 2.5 to 3.0, is hosted only, so the service in front of it decides, and Alibaba’s own API documentation describes content moderation on both the request and the result.
SpicyHub AI runs Wan as three 18+ tools in the browser: Wan 2.7 Image, which makes stills at 6 credits each, Spicy UNCENSORED Video, running Wan 3.0, for 2–30 second clips with sound, and Spicy UNCENSORED Character Swap, a second Wan 3.0 tool, which puts your invented character into a clip you own. There is nothing to install, every price shows before you run, and during the beta new accounts get 50 free credits that work on any model.
SpicyHub AI is an independent service with no ties to the companies or products this page names; those names are trademarks of their owners.
Adults 18+ only. Every character you make has to be an adult: one you invented, or a real adult who agreed to it. Minors are never allowed, in any art style. The Terms of Service set out the full rules.

Alibaba’s Wan line splits in two: the early versions you can download, and the later ones you can only reach through a service. The table sums up each one as of November 2026, from Alibaba’s release notes and API documentation and from news coverage of the launches:
| Version | Released | Weights | One clip | Adult work |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wan 2.1 | Early 2025 | Open, Apache 2.0 | About 5 s, no sound | On your own hardware there is no hosted filter in between |
| Wan 2.2 | July 2025 | Open, Apache 2.0 | About 5 s, no sound; the 5B model renders 720p at 24 fps | Run locally, for example in ComfyUI; community add-ons (LoRAs) trained for adult work are shared on model sites |
| Wan 2.5 and 2.6 | From September 2025 | Not released | 2.5: 5 or 10 s; 2.6: 2–15 s; both with audio | Hosted only; Alibaba’s API checks prompts, images and results |
| Wan 2.7 | April 2026 | Not released | 2–15 s with audio at 720p or 1080p, plus an image model | Hosted only; Alibaba’s API checks input and output. Here, Wan 2.7 Image runs as an 18+ model |
| Wan 3.0 | August 2026 | Not released | 2–30 s with audio, 480p to 1080p | Hosted only. Here it runs Spicy UNCENSORED Video and the 18+ character swap |
Treat any download labelled Wan 3.0, or any “Wan 3” checkpoint, with care. As of November 2026, Alibaba has published no Wan 3.0 weights: its official Hugging Face account has no Wan 2.5, 2.6, 2.7 or 3.0 repository, and its newest numbered release there belongs to the 2.2 family.
Why one Wan model is filtered in one place and not another
With a hosted model you never reach the weights directly: every request passes through the service in front of them, and that service decides what to refuse. Alibaba’s Model Studio documentation says prompts, input images and results of its Wan models go through content moderation, and flagged requests fail with a DataInspectionFailed error. Other services that host Wan set their own rules, which is why one Wan version can turn a prompt down in one place and accept it in another.
SpicyHub AI reaches Wan 2.7 Image and Wan 3.0 through a hosting route that accepts adult fiction, and screens each prompt itself before a render starts: wording that sets sexual content beside anything suggesting someone under 18 is stopped on every model, 18+ ones included. The Terms add the rest, among them no sexual violence, no non-consent and no characters you don’t hold the rights to, and every character should be an adult you invented.
The swap tool shows the route at work. Spicy UNCENSORED Character Swap and Wan 3.0 Character Swap share one Wan 3.0 model. The SFW one is served through a filtered provider, which keeps it a standard model, and it costs less: 5, 9 or 17 credits per billed second against 9, 18 or 35.
Wan 3.0 here: Spicy UNCENSORED Video and the 18+ swap
Spicy UNCENSORED Video works from a prompt by itself, or from an opening picture plus, if you like, a closing one, and returns a clip of 2–30 seconds, sound included, at the resolution you pick (480p, 720p or 1080p). Prompts can run to 20,000 characters, and SpicyHub AI passes them on exactly as typed. The text-to-video guide covers scripting a scene from scratch, and the image-to-video guide starting from a still.
Spicy UNCENSORED Character Swap takes a picture of an adult character you invented and a 3–15 second MP4 or MOV clip you filmed or hold the rights to, with adult performers who agreed to its use, and swaps your character in while the clip’s motion, camera and timing stay. It bills the seconds you upload plus as many again for the result, so the shortest clip at 480p comes to 54 credits and a 5-second clip at 720p to 180. How to pick a source clip is in the character swap guide.
| Tool | Runs on | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| Wan 2.7 Image | Wan 2.7 | 6 per image |
| Spicy UNCENSORED Video | Wan 3.0 | 8, 15 or 29 a second (480p, 720p, 1080p); never under 30 a clip |
| Spicy UNCENSORED Character Swap | Wan 3.0 | 9, 18 or 35 per billed second; 54 for the shortest clip at 480p |
| Model | Length | 480p | 720p | 1080p |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spicy UNCENSORED Video (Wan 3.0) | 4 s | 32 | 60 | 116 |
| Spicy UNCENSORED Video (Wan 3.0) | 5 s | 40 | 75 | 145 |
| Spicy UNCENSORED Video (Wan 3.0) | 10 s | 80 | 150 | 290 |
| Spicy UNCENSORED Video (Wan 3.0) | 30 s | 240 | 450 | 870 |
| HappyHorse 1.1 | 3 s | — | 60 | 78 |
| HappyHorse 1.1 | 5 s | — | 100 | 130 |
| HappyHorse 1.1 | 10 s | — | 200 | 260 |
| HappyHorse 1.1 | 15 s | — | 300 | 390 |
| Length | 480p | 720p | 1080p |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 s | 54 | 108 | 210 |
| 5 s | 90 | 180 | 350 |

| 15 s | 270 | 540 | 1,050 |
Stills on Wan 2.7 Image
Of the two 18+ picture models here, Wan 2.7 Image costs less, at 6 credits a picture. It works from a prompt, from up to 9 uploaded images without any prompt, or from both, and the uploads cost nothing extra. It renders in 1:1, 4:3, 4:5, 9:16 or 16:9. That makes it the natural tool for drafts and for edits where the pose and layout of an existing picture should stay put.
The other 18+ picture model, Spicy UNCENSORED, runs ByteDance’s Seedream 5.0 Pro. It costs 8 credits at 1K or 12 at 2K, takes up to 10 references (the extras add at most 2 credits) and is the usual choice for finished frames. Wan 2.7 Image vs Seedream 5.0 compares the two in detail.
Wan 2.2 on your own GPU, or Wan 3.0 by the second
Running Wan 2.2 yourself and paying per clip here are different trades, not better and worse versions of one thing:
| What you weigh | Wan 2.2 on your own computer | Wan models on SpicyHub AI |
|---|---|---|
| Cost per clip | Electricity, once you own the hardware | Credits per second, from 30 a clip |
| Hardware | Alibaba’s notes put the 5B model on one 24 GB card such as an RTX 4090; offloading in ComfyUI stretches to smaller cards, more slowly | A browser |
| Length of one run | About 5 s | Up to 30 s on Wan 3.0 |
| Sound | None from the base video models | Made with the clip on Spicy UNCENSORED Video, at no extra cost |
| Custom LoRAs and checkpoints | Yes, any you can find or train | No; reference images keep a character on-model instead |
| Setup | Install, download the weights, build a workflow | None |
Either way, the same line holds: characters stay adult and invented, nobody who reads as under 18 and no real person’s likeness. Wan 2.2’s own license notes leave users fully accountable for how they use the model.
When HappyHorse 1.1 is the better pick
HappyHorse 1.1 (listed by its hosts as an Alibaba model, as of November 2026) is the second 18+ video model here. It does one job, animating a still: clips of 3–15 seconds in 720p or 1080p, silent on SpicyHub AI, and its prompt is optional.
- Pick HappyHorse 1.1 when you have a finished picture and want it to move without writing a prompt, or when you don’t need sound.
- Pick Spicy UNCENSORED Video when the clip needs sound, a set closing frame, cheap 480p tests or more than 15 seconds, or when there is no picture at all.
- On price, Spicy UNCENSORED Video is cheaper at 720p (15 credits a second against 20), while HappyHorse 1.1 is cheaper at 1080p (26 credits a second against 29).
The blog guide to HappyHorse 1.1 prices both models at every length.
Questions people ask
Is Wan 3.0 uncensored?
Not as such. As of November 2026 Wan 3.0 is a hosted model with no public weights, so what it accepts depends on the service running it. Alibaba documents content moderation for its hosted Wan models, and other hosts set rules of their own. On SpicyHub AI it runs as Spicy UNCENSORED Video, which takes adult fiction about invented adults within the Terms.
Can I download Wan 3.0 and run it at home?
Not as of November 2026: Alibaba has released no Wan 3.0 weights, code or license. The newest Wan you can download and run yourself is Wan 2.2, released in July 2025 under Apache 2.0.
Does Wan 2.2 allow NSFW?
The open weights run on your own machine, so no hosted filter sits between you and the model, and community add-ons trained for adult work are shared on model sites. Its license notes still leave users fully accountable for how they use it. Run through Alibaba’s own API, Wan 2.2 is moderated like the later versions.
Is Spicy UNCENSORED Video just Wan 3.0 under another name?
It is Wan 3.0, served through a provider route that allows adult fiction, inside SpicyHub AI’s Video Lab. You get Wan 3.0’s 2–30 second range, 480p, 720p or 1080p and sound, plus SpicyHub AI’s per-second prices and its own prompt check.
Why isn’t Wan 3.0 Character Swap an 18+ model when the Spicy swap is?
Both run Wan 3.0, but Wan 3.0 Character Swap goes through a filtered route, so it is a standard model meant for all-ages clips and costs less per second. Spicy UNCENSORED Character Swap is the one for adult characters.
What do the free credits make on the Wan models?
During the beta, every new account gets 50 credits that work on any model. Spent on one Wan tool, that is 8 pictures on Wan 2.7 Image, a Spicy UNCENSORED Video clip with sound of up to 6 seconds at 480p or a 3-second all-ages swap at 480p on Wan 3.0 Character Swap (30 credits). The 18+ swap needs more: its shortest clip costs 54 credits. Payments open soon.
SpicyHub AI’s 18+ rules in brief
- You need to be an adult under your own country’s law, never under 18, and the content has to be legal where you are.
- Every character is an adult, both by stated age and by how they look. Drawn and animated characters follow the same rule as photos.
- No sexual content involving a minor or a character who could pass for one. Accounts that try are closed and reported to the authorities.
- A recognizable real person appears only with their documented consent. That rules out celebrities, creators, coworkers and former partners. In a character swap, no real person goes in as the character, you included.
- No sexual violence, no lack of consent and no bestiality, even as fiction.
- Existing characters from anime, manga, games and film are someone else’s property, so create your own.
- Your results stay private to your account until you share them. What you post elsewhere is yours to answer for, under the law and that site’s rules.
A short version only. The binding rules are in the Terms of Service.
