Seedream NSFW: What ByteDance’s Image Model Allows, and Where
Seedream doesn’t allow NSFW on ByteDance’s own services. As of November 2026, the Acceptable Use Policy of BytePlus, the ByteDance business that sells Seedream to developers, rules out content promoting sexually explicit material, and the community guidelines of Dreamina, ByteDance’s image and video app, don’t allow nudity or sexual activity, digitally created images included. That goes for Seedream 4.5 and 5.0 alike.
On SpicyHub AI, Spicy UNCENSORED runs Seedream 5.0 Pro for 18+ work with characters you invent: 8 credits at 1K, 12 at 2K, with up to 10 reference images, each cited in the prompt by its number (Figure 1, Figure 2…). It is one of two Seedream models in the studio. The other, Spicy Imagine Pro, is a standard model for safe-for-work pictures.
SpicyHub AI is in beta, and every new account starts with 50 free credits that work on any model: 6 Spicy UNCENSORED images at 1K, or 4 at 2K.
SpicyHub AI is an independent service with no ties to the companies or products this page names; those names are trademarks of their owners.
Adults 18+ only. Every character you make has to be an adult: one you invented, or a real adult who agreed to it. Minors are never allowed, in any art style. The Terms of Service set out the full rules.

Seedream reaches people through two kinds of ByteDance channel: the BytePlus developer platform and ByteDance’s own apps. We read the rules for both on 6 November 2026:
- BytePlus Acceptable Use Policy (effective 30 September 2026). It covers BytePlus’s AI services, the route developers use to call Seedream. Among the content it rules out is “any content promoting sexually explicit material”, and a separate clause for AI services forbids evading or bypassing their content filtering.
- Dreamina Community Guidelines. Dreamina, from ByteDance’s CapCut, is one of the consumer apps that offer Seedream 5.0 and 5.0 Pro. Under adult nudity and sexual activities, its guidelines say it does not allow depictions of nudity or sexual activity, and they name digitally created or manipulated content as included.
Neither document describes an adult tier or an opt-in, so the answer doesn’t change with the version: Seedream 4.5, 5.0 and 5.0 Pro all sit under the same rules there. BytePlus’s ModelArk documentation does describe an optional content pre-filter that developers can switch off, but it says baseline safety rules still apply with it off and the policy binds them either way.
Other companies that resell Seedream add filters of their own, which is why claims about what Seedream allows disagree from one site to the next. The refusal usually comes from the service in front of the model, not from the version number.
Seedream 4.5, 5.0 and 5.0 Pro, and which one runs here
ByteDance ships Seedream in versions, and from 5.0 on in tiers. The dates below come from BytePlus and from ByteDance’s Seed team, which builds the model.
| Version | Released | On SpicyHub AI | 18+ work here |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seedream 4.5 | Announced by BytePlus on 3 December 2025, with 4K output | No longer offered | Not applicable |
| Seedream 5.0 Lite | February 2026, on BytePlus ModelArk | Spicy Imagine Pro: 2K or 4K, 8 or 15 credits | No, a standard model |
| Seedream 5.0 Pro | Launched by ByteDance’s Seed team on 8 July 2026 | Spicy UNCENSORED: 1K or 2K, 8 or 12 credits | Yes, for invented adults |
ByteDance’s launch post for 5.0 Pro puts the weight on control: precise edits to one part of a picture, dense layouts with legible text, and lettering in many languages. For character art, the part that pays off is editing. You can ask for one change to an existing image and describe it in a sentence, instead of rerolling the whole picture.
If you came from Seedream 4.5 for its 4K output, note the trade: 5.0 Pro runs at 1K or 2K here. 4K on Seedream stays with Spicy Imagine Pro, which is for safe-for-work images only.
Spicy UNCENSORED or Spicy Imagine Pro: which Seedream to pick
Both are Seedream underneath, and the names don’t tell you which one takes adult work. The rule is simple: anything 18+ goes to Spicy UNCENSORED. Spicy Imagine Pro is a standard model for safe-for-work images, and it is the one to use when you need 4K. Switch the Image Lab to Spicy mode and the model list shows only the models that take adult work, so there is nothing to guess.
What Spicy UNCENSORED gives you:
- Two sizes: 1K for 8 credits and 2K for 12. The price shows in the lab before you generate.
- 10 shapes: 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 16:9, 9:16, 3:2, 2:3, 2:1, 1:2, 21:9. Spicy Imagine Pro has 5.
- Up to 10 reference images. Attaching one costs nothing extra. With 2 to 6 the run costs 1 credit more, with 7 to 10 it costs 2 credits more.
- A prompt every time. Spicy UNCENSORED won’t run without one, even for an edit. Wan 2.7 Image, the other 18+ image model, can work from uploads alone.
- Private by default. Results stay in your account history, visible only to you until you share them, and nothing made on the 18+ models is used in SpicyHub AI’s promotion.
| Model | Credits per image | € on Spicy Basic | € on Spicy Pro | € on Spicy Creator |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wan 2.7 Image | 6 | €0.10 | €0.083 | €0.074 |
| Spicy UNCENSORED 1K | 8 | €0.133 | €0.111 | €0.098 |
| Spicy UNCENSORED 2K | 12 | €0.20 | €0.167 | €0.148 |
| Use | How many | Credits used |
|---|---|---|
| Wan 2.7 Image drafts | 8 | 48 |
| Spicy UNCENSORED at 1K | 6 | 48 |
| Spicy UNCENSORED at 2K | 4 | 48 |
| 5-second Spicy UNCENSORED Video clip at 480p, with sound | 1 | 40 |
A sensible first session on the free credits: settle the pose and outfit with 4 Wan 2.7 Image drafts, then render the final on Spicy UNCENSORED at 2K, for 36 credits in all.
Editing with references: Figure 1, Figure 2 and the rest
Seedream 5.0 Pro reads attached images in upload order, and the prompt points at them by number. That makes it a good tool for a recurring character: attach the design once, then describe what changes. These prompts show the pattern, each with an invented adult:
- “Keep the woman in Figure 1 exactly as she is, same face, hair and pose. Change only her outfit to a black halter one-piece swimsuit.”
- “The man from Figure 1, a bearded 35-year-old, leans on the bar counter from Figure 2. Warm evening light, framed from the knees up.”
- “Same scene and same woman as Figure 1, but at night: rain on the window, a single lamp lit beside the bed. Nothing else changes.”
- “The woman from Figure 1 wears the red silk robe from Figure 2. Use the close-up in Figure 3 for her face and the scar above her eyebrow.”
Ask for one change per run. Pose, outfit and setting changed together tend to pull the face along with them; three separate runs hold it better.
Order your uploads with the face first. When a small detail drifts, a crop of it from your best image works better as an extra reference than more adjectives.
References should show your own invented character, clothing, props or places. Never upload a photo of a real person to make 18+ images of them, a celebrity or anyone else.
To see the sentence style on finished work, the spicy templates show Spicy UNCENSORED stills next to the full prompts that made them, and any of them opens in the lab ready to edit.
Choosing a shape and a size
Generate in the shape the picture will be used in rather than cropping a square later, since both sizes top out at 2K and a crop throws pixels away. A single-character portrait suits 2:3 or 3:4. A full-length figure fits 1:2, and a scene with room around the character fits 16:9 or the extra-wide 21:9.
Use 1K for anything you are still deciding on, and 2K for the keeper. At 8 against 12 credits, 3 tries at 1K cost 24 credits, the same as 2 images at 2K.
Wording that keeps a run from being stopped
Every prompt for the 18+ models passes an automated check before anything is generated. It refuses wording that puts anything sexual next to anything that suggests a person under 18, even in a negative. Most stopped runs come down to a word like that, so the fix is usually to describe the character more plainly as an adult.
- Give an age and an adult build: “a 32-year-old woman, tall, with broad shoulders”, not just “a woman”.
- Put the character in adult places and roles: an office, a bar, a gym, their own apartment.
- Describe your character instead of naming one from an anime, a game or a film. Existing characters aren’t allowed here.
- Write in sentences, in the order who, look, outfit, action, place, light and style. Seedream follows sentences better than a pile of tags.
A prompt the check stops is never charged, and a run that fails after it starts gets its credits back. For a full prompt structure, read a prompt structure for adult anime art; to turn a tag list into sentences, read booru tags to sentence prompts.
Why Seedance, ByteDance’s video model, still refuses
If Seedream takes adult work here, it is fair to ask why Seedance doesn’t. The routes SpicyHub AI has for Seedance filter adult content out, so it stays a standard video model. Seedance and NSFW goes through what it refuses.
To animate a Spicy UNCENSORED image, use one of the two 18+ video models instead: HappyHorse 1.1 for a silent clip from one still, or Spicy UNCENSORED Video on Wan 3.0 for clips with sound. Which AI models allow NSFW lists every model in the studio with its answer.
Questions people ask
Does Seedream allow NSFW?
Not on ByteDance’s own services: as of November 2026, the BytePlus policy and Dreamina’s guidelines both rule out sexually explicit content. On SpicyHub AI, Spicy UNCENSORED runs Seedream 5.0 Pro for 18+ images of invented adults, inside the rules in the box on this page.
Does Seedream 4.5 allow NSFW?
The same ByteDance rules cover 4.5, so not on its own channels. SpicyHub AI no longer offers Seedream 4.5. For 18+ images, Spicy UNCENSORED runs the newer Seedream 5.0 Pro.
Is Spicy UNCENSORED really Seedream 5.0 Pro?
Yes. SpicyHub AI isn’t affiliated with ByteDance; it runs Seedream 5.0 Pro under its own name and settings: 1K or 2K, 10 shapes and up to 10 reference images.
Can I get 4K out of Seedream here?
Only for safe-for-work images, on Spicy Imagine Pro (15 credits at 4K). Spicy UNCENSORED stops at 2K, so pick the final shape before you generate rather than cropping afterwards.
Can I use photos as references?
Yes, of your own invented character, clothes, props and places. Never use a photo of a real person to make 18+ images of them, a celebrity or anyone else, and never a character from an existing anime, game or film.
Why did my Spicy UNCENSORED run fail?
Usually the prompt check found wording that could read as describing someone under 18 next to something sexual. Rewrite the character with an age and an adult build and try again. A stopped prompt costs nothing, and a run that fails once it has started is refunded in full.
What do the free credits buy on Spicy UNCENSORED?
During the beta, new accounts get 50 credits that work on any model: 6 images at 1K or 4 at 2K, or a mix with cheaper drafts on Wan 2.7 Image at 6 credits each.
SpicyHub AI’s 18+ rules in brief
- You need to be an adult under your own country’s law, never under 18, and the content has to be legal where you are.
- Every character is an adult, both by stated age and by how they look. Drawn and animated characters follow the same rule as photos.
- No sexual content involving a minor or a character who could pass for one. Accounts that try are closed and reported to the authorities.
- A recognizable real person appears only with their documented consent. That rules out celebrities, creators, coworkers and former partners. In a character swap, no real person goes in as the character, you included.
- No sexual violence, no lack of consent and no bestiality, even as fiction.
- Existing characters from anime, manga, games and film are someone else’s property, so create your own.
- Your results stay private to your account until you share them. What you post elsewhere is yours to answer for, under the law and that site’s rules.
SpicyHub AI doesn’t publish ways around the filters on ByteDance’s own services; the BytePlus policy forbids that. For 18+ images here, use Spicy UNCENSORED or Wan 2.7 Image.
A short version only. The binding rules are in the Terms of Service.
