A Grok Imagine Alternative for Spicy Anime Characters and Clips

xAI doesn’t keep a public changelog for the spicy setting, so this summary leans on news coverage and on what users report. We checked it on 6 November 2026.

• January 2026: after a backlash over sexualised edits of real people’s photos, Grok on X stopped making images for non-paying users on January 9. On January 14, X said Grok would no longer edit photos of real people into revealing clothing.
• March 19, 2026: news reports say xAI ended the last free Grok Imagine generation that day, which made it a paid feature on the standalone website and app as well.
• The months since: users describe the spicy option going missing from the web version, showing on some accounts and not on others, and refusing prompts it used to accept. We found no statement from xAI that it has been switched off.

Grok Imagine is still a capable tool for all-ages work. What changed is that spicy anime there became hard to count on. If that was the part you used it for, the sections below show the same project here, with the price of each step.

On Grok Imagine one prompt box does stills and clips. Here every job has its own tool, and each shows its price before you generate:

In the Image Lab and the Video Lab, Spicy mode lists only the 18+ models. Opening it the first time asks for a one-off age confirmation and agreement to the rules, which your account keeps. A swap bills the seconds you upload plus the seconds you get back.

Spicy anime pays off when one character carries through everything you make. Here is the whole route for an original adult character, step by step:

1. Character sheet. On Spicy UNCENSORED at 2K (12 credits), ask for a turnaround of one adult character: facing the camera, in profile and from behind, against a flat grey backdrop. Put an age, such as 27, and an adult build in the first sentence.
2. Spicy variations. Attach the sheet to Wan 2.7 Image and vary a single detail each time: a lace lingerie set, a bikini at a rooftop pool, a silk robe in a dim boudoir. Each run is 6 credits.
3. A clip with sound. Use the best variation as the first frame on Spicy UNCENSORED Video and describe the motion, the camera and what we hear. 5 seconds at 720p is 75 credits.
4. A swap. Film a dance or a catwalk turn, performed by you or by another adult who agreed to it, and Character Swap puts your OC into the footage while keeping its moves. 3 seconds at 480p is 54 credits.

Prefer a ready-made pose to a blank prompt box? The spicy templates gallery has image and clip prompts with example results that you can reuse with your own character.

Two or three full sentences beat a pile of keywords here. Build them in a fixed order: the character’s adult age first, then looks, outfit, action, setting and light, with the art style at the end. Three examples:

• Still: An adult woman of about thirty with a long black braid and amber eyes, in a dark red satin slip dress, leans against a rain-streaked window in a neon-lit apartment at night. Cel-shaded anime illustration, clean line art, magenta and teal rim light, framed from the knees up.
• Clip, with that still as the first frame: She turns from the window to face the camera, lets the braid fall over one shoulder and smiles slowly. The camera pushes in from a medium shot to a close-up. Soft rain on the glass and a low synth hum.
• Husbando still: An adult man in his late twenties with a silver undercut and a sharp jaw, bare-chested under an open black kimono, sits on the edge of a futon in warm lantern light. Painterly anime style, amber tones, shallow depth of field.

State an adult age and an adult build every time, anime included, because the style can make a face read younger than you meant. The Terms ban any character who reads as under 18, on every model, and prompts are screened before anything is made. The adult anime image guide has more styles and prompt patterns.

SpicyHub AI is still in beta, with payments opening soon. Meanwhile a new account starts with 50 credits that work on every model, the 18+ ones included. Spent on a single model, that buys:

You can mix, too: 3 drafts on Wan 2.7 Image plus a 3-second 480p swap on the all-ages Wan 3.0 Character Swap (30 credits) fit inside the same 50. The shortest 18+ swap costs 54, more than the sign-up credits.

Grok’s trouble in January 2026 began with edits of real people’s photos. SpicyHub AI doesn’t take that work at all. No photo of a real person as your character, no lookalikes of celebrities or creators, and no reworking of anyone’s real photos. Build every character from scratch as an invented adult.

Every prompt passes an automatic screen before a single frame is made, on the 18+ models as much as the standard ones. The full list of what is off limits is in the Terms of Service.
