Midjourney and Niji Won’t Do NSFW: An Anime Alternative for Adults

Midjourney’s Community Guidelines head their content rules with “SFW content only” and ask users not to create, or try to create, adult content. The list of things to avoid names nudity, sexualized imagery and fetishes, and reaches as far as people in showers. We checked this on 6 November 2026; the wording matches a copy captured in September 2026.

Attempts count, not just results. The guidelines say people who break them can be warned by a moderator, given a time-out or blocked from the service, and that using the Editor to break them means suspension or a ban without a refund. Rewording a prompt to slip past moderation is still an attempt, so it puts the account itself at risk.

Niji Journey is made by Spellbrush together with Midjourney and runs under Midjourney’s terms. We found no separate rule that opens it to adult work.

The models here don’t read parameters in the prompt. Every Midjourney habit has a plain equivalent:

Midjourney takes almost any --ar. The two 18+ image models here offer a fixed menu each, so this is the shape to pick for the values people use most:

Spicy UNCENSORED runs from a tall 1:2 to a wide 21:9, which covers phone wallpapers and banners; Wan 2.7 Image keeps to 5 everyday shapes.

Written the Niji way: adult woman, long lavender hair, black lace corset, gothic bedroom, candlelight, moody --niji --ar 2:3 --sref and a style image

Here, with that style image attached as Figure 1: An adult woman of about twenty-eight with long lavender hair and pale grey eyes, in a black lace corset under a sheer robe, sits at a dressing table in a gothic bedroom lit by candles. Anime illustration with the line weight and muted palette of Figure 1, soft shadows, framed from the waist up.

• Put the adult subject first, with an age, even for anime. The style can make a face read younger than you meant.
• Keep it to two or three sentences. A long prompt buries the details you care about.
• Choose the 2:3 shape from the menu instead of writing it into the prompt.

The prompt structure for adult anime art goes further, and the spicy templates gallery has ready prompts with example results to adapt.

Midjourney’s own image-to-video feature sits under the same SFW guidelines. Here, a finished still can go straight on to motion:

• Spicy UNCENSORED Video: your still as the first frame, 2 to 30 seconds at 480p, 720p or 1080p, with sound, from 30 credits.
• HappyHorse 1.1: 3 to 15 silent seconds at 720p or 1080p, from 60 credits.
• Character Swap: your character takes the place of the adult performer in a 3 to 15 second clip you filmed with their agreement, from 54 credits.

The adult anime video guide covers motion prompts and loops.

Midjourney sells monthly and yearly plans. Here each picture has a fixed price, which the Image Lab shows before you generate: 10 drafts on Wan 2.7 Image and 2 finals at 2K on Spicy UNCENSORED come to 84 credits. Style references barely move that: a single one is included in the Spicy UNCENSORED price, a set of up to six costs 1 credit more per run, and a bigger set, up to 10, costs 2 more.

Once you need more, a monthly plan costs €10 to €80, or you can buy a one-time pack whose credits never expire; see the pricing page. Neither can be bought during the beta, so the free credits are what you start with.
