AI Magic Eraser for Photos and Video: Remove People or Objects
A stranger wandered into your holiday picture, or a cable cuts across an otherwise clean sky. Paint over the problem, name it in a prompt, or do both, and the Eraser takes it out. Content-aware inpainting then fills the hole using the light, texture and perspective of whatever surrounds it. Signs and forgotten bags go the same way.
Photos and clips each get a model, both on this page. A video mask is painted once on the first frame and then applied throughout, so it works best on slow-moving subjects and fixed overlays like your own logo or captions. If all you need is your own watermark gone with no drawing, start with the Watermark Remover.
Take an object out of a photo or video
Upload to the right model
JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP files up to 50 MB go to Image Eraser. MP4, WebM or MOV clips of 3 to 15 seconds, up to 50 MB, go to Video Eraser.
Show what has to go
For exact placement, paint over the object in the mask editor, on the first frame if it’s a video. Some things are quicker to name than to outline, so you can type “the dog” or “logo in the corner” instead.
Describe the fill (optional)
Painted an area? A prompt can set what replaces it, like “plain wooden floor” or “clear blue sky”. Without one, the fill simply follows the surroundings.
Run it and save
Check the price before you commit: 8 credits per image, or 4 credits per second of video with a 5-second minimum. Failed runs are refunded. Once finished, download your result.
Image Eraser and Video Eraser
Image Eraser
Work with a brush mask, a prompt or the two together, and use the prompt to say what replaces a painted area if you like. Content-aware inpainting holds lighting, texture and perspective together. 8 credits per image.
Video Eraser
Best on static overlays and slow-moving subjects. Paint a mask on the first frame and every frame uses it, or rely on a prompt. Temporal-aware inpainting keeps the motion stable. 4 credits per second, 5 seconds minimum: 20 credits for 5 s, 60 for 15 s.
The AI Models page sets out the cost and strengths of each model side by side.
Typical removals
- Strangers and tourists who strayed into your shot.
- Poles, cables and wires that interrupt the view.
- Mess on a shelf, floor or desk before a product shot.
- A stray corner object, a sticker, an unwanted sign.
- Captions on clips you made, or your own logo.

AI Eraser FAQ
Can I skip the mask?
You can. Typing “the dog” or “logo in the corner” works by itself, as does painting over the object. Use both together when you also want to say what fills the gap.
Can it take people out of photos?
It can. Paint out or describe tourists and passers-by and the scene behind them gets rebuilt. Please don’t use edits like this to misrepresent what actually happened.
How does Video Eraser cope with motion?
Because a first-frame mask applies to every frame, stationary overlays and slow subjects suit it best. Anything that moves around can be described in the prompt, either in place of painting or alongside it.
What does the Eraser cost?
Each image takes 8 credits. Video is 4 credits per second with a 5-second minimum, so 5 seconds comes to 20 credits and 15 seconds to 60. During the beta a new account starts with 50 free credits (6 images, or 2 clips of 5 seconds), and failed runs are refunded.
Eraser or Watermark Remover: which one?
Go to the Watermark Remover for watermarks, logos and text overlays it can find with no mask. Use the Eraser for everything else, plus whatever that tool missed. Both share one rule: other people’s watermarks or credits on content you don’t own must stay put.
What files can I upload?
JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP images and MP4, WebM or MOV videos, all up to 50 MB. Videos must run between 3 and 15 seconds.
Is a watermark added to results?
Nothing visible is added to your result. If a site’s rules or your local law require an AI label, add one yourself when you post.
